<\/figure>Originally from Philadelphia\u2019s Chestnut Hill suburb, Madeleine Foster is passionate about inspiring students with a love for personal excellence, generosity, and liberal learning. After graduating from Christendom College with a B.A. in Philosophy in 2018, Madeleine was awarded a Holy Cross Fellowship to pursue graduate studies in theology at the University of Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame, Madeleine engaged in the Echo Program, a renown service program geared toward shaping the next leaders in theological instruction, liberal learning, and ministerial excellence.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
After completing her M.A. in Theology at Notre Dame, Madeleine taught at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA and served as the Middle Years Program Coordinator at Mar Qardakh International School in Erbil, Iraq. While in Iraq, Madeleine enjoyed leading the school\u2019s chess club, facilitating service learning, and enriching the school\u2019s International Baccalaureate framework with classical knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, Madeleine is thrilled to serve Coningsby\u2019s unparalleled commitment to students\u2019 personal development in social graces and intellectual growth. As Coningsby\u2019s Dean of Students and Curriculum, Madeleine is excited to curate an outstanding program of learning for our students, tailoring Coningsby\u2019s goals to each of our students’ unique needs and pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Luke Foster<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Faculty <\/strong>|<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Luke Foster is Assistant Professor of Government at Hillsdale College in Washington, D.C. From 2022\u201324 he was a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the Center for Citizenship and Constitutional Government at the University of Notre Dame, and from 2020\u201322 he was a Visiting Research Fellow at Sciences Po Paris. His research and teaching concerns American and French political thought on aristocracy, democracy, and the role of the university in elite formation. He is completing a book manuscript entitled Beyond Meritocracy: The Pursuit of Excellence in America<\/em>. His work has appeared in The Tocqueville Review\/La Revue Tocqueville<\/em>, American Political Thought<\/em>, the Political Science Reviewer<\/em>, and Laws<\/em>. Born in Malawi and raised in Mozambique, he holds a B.A. in English and History from Columbia University and an M.A. and PhD from the University of Chicago (Committee on Social Thought).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Faculty<\/strong> |<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ishaan is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science at Yale University, prior to which he earned an AB in Art History at Dartmouth College. While Ishaan has worked in the art world and in publishing, his main hobby has remained playing club sports, and he plays squash and writes academically about sportsmanship<\/a>.
